Product Description
An ferroalloy consisting of molybdenum and iron, usually containing molybdenum 50 to 60%,used as an alloy additive in steelmaking. Ferromolybdenum is an alloy of molybdenum and iron. Its main use is in steelmaking as molybdenum element additive. The addition of molybdenum into the steel can make the steel have uniform fine crystal structure, improve the hardenability of the steel, and help to eliminate the temper brittleness. Molybdenum can replace some tungsten in high speed steel. Molybdenum, in combination with other alloying elements, is widely used in the production of stainless steel, heat-resistant steel, acid-resistant steel, tool steel, and alloys with special physical properties.Molybdenum is added to cast iron to increase its strength and wear resistance.
Molybdenum powder is divided into light molybdenum powder (PCC) and molybdenum powder (GCC) two kinds.
The characteristics of molybdenum powder can be artificially controlled color, particle size, surface characteristics, dispersion, rheology, thixotropy and crystal type, and molybdenum powder chemical purity is high, strong chemical inertia, good thermal stability, below 400 degrees centigrade will not decompose.In addition, molybdenum powder also has the advantages of low oil absorption rate, low hardness, small wear value, non-toxic, odorless, tasteless, good dispersion and so on.

Ferric molybdenum is a binary alloy containing 55%-75% molybdenum.The density of ferric molybdenum is about 9.0-9.5 and the melting point is about 1750-1980 degrees.
The largest applications of ferro molybdenum are in the production of ferroalloys based on the molybdenum content and range, which are suitable for machine tools and equipment, military equipment, oil refinery tubing,load-bearing components and rotation drills. Ferro molybdenum is also used in cars, trucks, locomotives, ships, etc. In addition, ferro molybdenum is used in stainless steel and heat resistant steel is employed in synthetic fuels and chemical plants, heat exchangers, generators, refining equipment, pumps, turbine tubes, ship propellers, plastics and acids, storage containers.
